Beyond bullet-proof

As a follow up to my three-part series, The Energy Spectrum, many have asked how best to start the day with nutrients that don’t produce any significant insulin production, keeps hunger away, and contributes to very high energy resulting in the need for fewer calories over the course of the day. (If you’re not eating really well–don’t try this at home, or anywhere else!)


Made from about 1½ cups of strong organic light roast coffee.

In a tall jar, add about ¼ cup heavy cream (I use raw, very heavy cream from a grass-fed Jersey cow), a raw egg yolk, and a tablespoon of raw organic coconut oil. Add a small amount of hot coffee and mix with a hand blender. Add the remaining coffee, pour into a relaxing mug, and enjoy!
